Calling all home cooks, backyard BBQ'ers, and self-proclaimed foodies!
THE STAMPEDE at the Depot is a new monthly cooking competition created by The Depot & Stephen Hindman, Owner / Exec. Chef of Stacked a Montana Grill.
Each month, six teams will compete for the title of Billings Best Culinary Team. The winner each month will go on to compete in a grand finale cook-off later in the year.
In addition, each month will feature a different menu, a different sponsor, three guest judges and a unique challenge for the teams to overcome.
This fast-paced competition is full of fun and laughs.
Here's how it works…
Six teams of 8 arrive at the Depot at 5:30 pm where you'll receive a welcome beverage and be shown to your cooking station.
The event begins at 6pm with a welcome presentation, safety guidelines and introduction to the judges and sponsors.
Each team is given a basket of food items that must be incorporated into the meal. They'll have just minutes to review the items, decide what meal to cook and select 4 individuals from the team to be the chefs. Only four of the team will cook while the others become the cheerleaders. Teams can also challenge other teams in the competition in a side battle during the event.
Teams will prepare one meal for the judges and the rest will be served as the dinner for that team.
Teams are also encouraged to dress in "team colors" and bring rally gear to cheer on your team.
The price is $75 per person and you must register a full team of 8 people. The price includes dinner, one welcome drink upon arrival and all the fun and laughs you can cook up.
